Hi all,
I was just curious how many of the people here own a GPS tracking device and what you use your device for. Thanks!

I own a Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS. I use it for all sorts of things, but mostly for training during my runs. I love how versatile it is and how it can be used in the gym just as much as it can out on the trails. To me, it is the superior wrist watch.

I don't own a GPS tracking device yet, but I want one so freakin' bad. Right now I am dead set on getting one of those new Motorolla Droid cell phones into my grubby little hands. That way I can pawn off my crap cell phone onto my husband and we can actually do things like text each other during the day. It really sucks that he doesn't have a phone right now, but we plan on getting him one sometime soon.
Anyway, I know a cell phone isn't what most people think of when they think of a GPS tracker - but most smartphones have GPS in them and can run cool apps like Google Latitude and whatnot on them. These are free and work just like a GPS tracker so that is good enough for me.

No dude, I totally don't own one yet. It kind of sucks that I don't, but I figure that I might buy one in 2010. I probably won't be able to buy one of them on the "buy a GPS" event because I won't have the cash. But hopefully I will be able to save up some money once I get a job and I can do some fun GPS stuff.

I made my own home made GPS tracking device. It is pretty ghetto. It is just an old cell phone and a little display thingy that I bought on the internet so that I can get it to tell me my coordinates. I probably should just go out and buy my own gosh darn tracker but I am a little partial to the home made one because it was so fun to do it myself. DIY FTW!

I too don't really own a GPS tracking device strictly speaking, but I do own a Blackberry. I am pretty sure that I could download a tracking app on there if I really wanted to so that my wife could know where I was and stuff, but what I really want to do is be able to use it for geocaching and stuff like that. Does anyone know a good app for that?
